Super-friendly people.
Reasonably clean hotel in a nice building close enough to the river, Durham City centre, and good menu for evening meal. The rooms with a huge walk in shower. Marvellous and lovely location in the middle of jackson. English bar in the property...

I had good 1-night stay here! All the employees were excellent and efficient. This location was stunning, so close to the restaurant, Durham & main roadways and the river and beautiful countryside. It also was in the middle of the city.

The recently refurbished room was immaculate and the towels were fabulous. Towel hooks in the bathroom would have been helpful.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the location was nice for visiting durham. My room was clean and comfy enough, cool. The bar was open late, and we liked hanging out there after a busy day. The atmosphere felt warm and cute. They had nice decor.
But the bed in our room was creaky and not comfy at all, and the bathroom could use some serious updates, like, it was tiny and had a weak shower.

Family with children in search of a comfy stay
Staff there were friendly and helpful, we really appreciated that, especially since we had a small toddler with us. The room was comfy and clean, perfect for our family. And the bar? Oh, it was open all the time, so we could chill after a day out.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but honestly for what we got, it was still acceptable.

Charming Location with Friendly Staff
Nestled in a picturesque village, the atmosphere here was good, and the staff were cute. My room was spacious and clean. The breakfast had a lovely variety of fresh coffee and fruit. Parking was tricky since there's no dedicated lot.
